課程目標

1. 本課程主要介紹各種製程的特性、限制並比較個別製程的優缺點；由發展的歷程一方面說明世界之趨勢與潮流方項，甚至從工程及經濟方面的著眼點分析如何選擇適當或最佳的製程。相關程所使用的設備、儀器也有粗略的涵蓋。
2. 本課程為機械製造工程師必須修習的基本領域內容廣泛，由於修習學分由４學分縮減為３學分故課堂解說只能擇要而以廣度為著眼點，讓學習者有多方面的涉獵基本的了解。針對製造有進一步興趣的同學，可繼續選修下列課程-製造原理、工具機原理等。
3. 本課程以課堂講授為主(含同學上台報告、提問討論)，另配合實體模型、YouTube videos 或選擇適當時機參觀機械展覽以提高學習興趣與效率。
